This is hands down one of the most awesome Minecraft texture packs I’ve ever seen. And not just because it’s steampunk (although I lovesteampunk).Glimmar’s creation has a lot of creativity and attention to detail that is rarely seen in any mod or texture pack in Minecraft.
Every single block is lovingly crafted, with loads of individual details that go beyond just a simple copy-paste tool. For instance, the icons of diamond tools like the drill and chainsaw animate to spin and whirr in your inventory (and even outside of it). When activated, powered rails have gears that lock into place and spin and do mechanical things. And even the moon gets special treatment, with each moon phase getting a completely different pattern and color scheme.
Mobs get a steampunk makeover as well, and some of these designs are downright creepy. The new robo-zombie looks even scarier than the original ever did. And the ghast, that oh so adorable demon blimp from hell, looks like it got teleported into the future and assimilated by the Borg.
With the exception of the enchanting and brewing interfaces, all of the UI have been completely redone into an awesome painted mad-scientist theme. Crafting has never looked this good!
